Overview
Even after you have completed your Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, being a VET trainer requires consistent ongoing learning in the world of VET.
This means you need to hold and maintain current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning that informs your training and assessment.
The IVET Academy has put together a collection of useful resources to have a hand to support your ongoing learning as a trainer and assessor.
We recommend and encourage you to refer regularly to these resources when delivering VET to your students to ensure that you are maintaining your knowledge and understanding of how competency-based training and assessment applies within your classroom.
Resources include:
- Standards for RTOs 2015
- Standard User Guide
- Back to Basics (Edition 5) Reference Guide
- Australian Core Skills Framework
- Australian Qualifications Framework
These resources are useful for those working in the VET Sector. As they are reference links only, no PD points can be claimed unless trainers complete a course or undertake research and provide evidence of these activities by uploading them into the Trainer PD section of the IVET Portal.
Note: IVET Academy are non affiliated with any organisation listed in this library and trainers will need to make their own decision about whether the information provided is suitable to meet their needs and interests.
