Session Overview

Islamic Arts and Scientific contributions have been largely forgotten through the centuries due to anglicising their contributors or denied recognition due to religious persecutions. Islam and Muslims are misunderstood and have been used in many a political and sociological debates. 

The formation of the Islamic Museum of Australia was created to reclaim the narrative on Islam through art, culture and architecture for social cohesion, education and understanding.
