Program Overview

The VET Development Centre will deliver a professional learning program for current and aspiring VET trainers to deliver successful outcomes for vocational students from government secondary schools.

This program is fully paid by the Department of Education and Training (Victoria). Additionally, schools will be able to access two days of a Casual Relief Teacher to support program participants to undertake this this program.

The program will support 235 current and aspiring VET trainers who will have to commit up to a maximum of 36 hours of professional development to equip them with the knowledge and skills required to adapt the principles of adult learning to a secondary school environment.

Final acceptance into this program will be determined by the Victorian Government.
Applications for Intake 2 close on 14 February 2022.


Please Note: This is course offered through VET Development Centre and not the IVET Academy. Enrolment and enquiries need to be directly with the provider.

IVET trainers who complete the full program can claim 10 PD points as part of their VET Professional Development requirements by uploading a certificate of completion from the provider.
