This Industry Interview with Certified Lego Serious Play Facilitator, Joel Birch discusses and shares the value of incorporating play and creativity into processes such as strategic planning and recruitment and selection.


Starting his career as a primary school teacher, Joel then got into teacher professional development and worked as an instructional coach and mentor around learning technologies, by helping schools position what they were doing with technology to really adapt and respond to the future as it emerged.

During the interview, Joel explains the different ways that Lego is incorporated into discussions, how using lego within recruitment and selection can still enable the process to be fair to all candidates and the process of selling the service to clients.  

Joel outlines the skills required to be a Lego Serious Play Facilitator and how trainers can incorporate Lego Serious Play into their training and assessment to achieve deeper discussions and engagement.
